Ashdown Cottage is a whole house refurbishment of a home that has been extended a great deal. The original house was a cottage built in early 1900s, this building has since been added to with first floor extension and loft conversion during the late 80s.
The project consisted of the remodeling and extension at ground floor level to great a generous living space, which was lacking in the original building. This new 78sqm living space which accommodates living room, dining and kitchen opens out to the sizable garden to the rear.
The external walls at ground floor level of the original building were cleaned removing roughcast render and restoring the original red brick facade. As part of the work the front door to the building was relocated providing generous and spacious reception hall appropriate to the size of house.
